The Admissions Process

Are you or someone you love struggling with mental health, substance abuse, or both? Reach out to us about our 30-day inpatient program. We keep the admissions process as simple as possible so you can focus on what’s important: getting better.

Phone Consultation

On the phone, you’ll speak with an experienced admissions specialist. During this private, non-judgemental assessment, we’ll determine whether Sequoia is the right fit for you. If our programs are not what you need at this time, we are happy to provide referrals and recommendations.

Check-In

When your insurance is verified and you’re ready for admissions, we’ll set a start date. Outpatient clients will get a tour of the facility and meet the counselors they’ll work with.

For residential clients, we’ll schedule a check-in or pickup that works for you. You’ll settle in at our inpatient facility and meet your therapists.

intake assessment

This in-person assessment will help determine your diagnoses, needs, and course of treatment.

After You Arrive at Sequoia

After your intake assessment, the full 30-day treatment program can begin. Your daily treatment will blend group programming with the individual treatment types we’ve decided on together.

You’ll also work with our therapists to develop an aftercare plan. Most people. in our inpatient program will move on to our intensive outpatient or partial hospitalization program. Whether you're ready for the next step with Sequoia, or ready to move on from our programming, we’ll make sure you know how to continue your healing journey.

Verify Your Insurance

Verifying your insurance helps us move through the admissions process more quickly. Simply fill out our form to the best of your ability, and we will contact you about any unknown details. If we cannot accept your health insurance, we are happy to refer you to programs that do. We can also offer individualized private payment plans to some clients.

Reasons to Invest in Treatment

People put off treatment for many reasons, but two of the most common are the time and the price tag. Investing time and resources can feel daunting. You may be asking yourself: how am I going to afford it? Who is going to take care of my personal responsibilities while I'm in intensive treatment?

While these concerns are valid, they can become excuses to avoid life-saving treatment. If you struggle with substance abuse or a debilitating mental illness, the cost to your health, quality of life, and finances will eventually far outpace the price of treatment.

When you prioritize your mental health, you are investing in your future:

  • Friendships and relationships
  • Physical health and well-being
  • Freedom from substance dependence
  • Ability to work and earn optimally
  • Ability to care for yourself and others
