Psychiatric Care

Part of a holistic treatment program is medical and clinical care. The psychiatry team at Sequoia works with everyone that walks through our doors to make diagnoses and manage medications for effective and complete care.

Scientifically Proven, 24/7 Care

Mental health treatment that includes both therapy and medicine is more effective than either on their own. The types of mental health issues we treat at Sequoia Behavioral Health often require medication and monitoring. That’s why we have a psychiatrist on call 24/7 for all of our clients.

Psychiatric Services at Sequoia Behavioral Health

Depending on which level of care you enter with Sequoia, you’ll receive a psychiatric evaluation 24 or 72 hours after you’re admitted. From there, we’ll formulate the best treatment plan for your needs and goals.

Assessments and Diagnostics

You don’t need to have been diagnosed before walking through our doors. Many of our clients didn’t have clear answers before their initial evaluation. We’ll walk you through a range of assessments in order to find the right treatment plan for you.

Medication Management

Many mental health struggles are tied to imbalanced brain chemicals. The right medication can help regulate the production of these chemicals and alleviate symptoms. Our psychiatric team will work with you to find the right medication and make adjustments when needed.

Check-ins with Consent and Collaboration

We mean it when we say that we work with you. Our psychiatric team will not only check in on each client weekly, we'll make sure you're comfortable and confident in every aspect of your treatment—including the medications you're prescribed.
