Intensive Outpatient Treatment
Our intensive outpatient programs allow our clients to heal while still living in their own homes. In IOP treatment, you’ll receive individual and small-group therapy in order to continue your healing journey beyond residential treatment.
What is Intensive Outpatient Treatment?
An intensive outpatient program, or IOP, is somewhere between inpatient treatment and traditional therapy. Many clients enter IOP after residential or PHP treatments. For others, IOP is the first and only program they’ll go through with Sequoia.
Though you won’t live at a residential treatment facility, you’ll still undergo similar therapy programming for three hours a day multiple times a week.
At Sequoia Behavioral Health, we offer two levels of IOP care:
- IOP 3—Counseling sessions for three hours a day three days a week
- IOP 5—Counseling sessions for three hours a day five days a week
The IOP you’ll enroll in depends on your needs, availability, and insurance coverage. At Sequoia, we’ll work to ensure that you get the care that you need.
Our Intensive Outpatient Program
While most of the counseling will happen in small groups, we’ll still tailor your care based on your individual needs and goals.
You’ll engage in much of the same programming that you see in our inpatient treatment programming, including:
- Individual Therapy
- Group Therapy
- EMDR
- Neurofeedback
- Somatic Experiencing
Our Facility
Our outpatient facility is located in the beautiful Vanderbilt Plaza centrally located in the East Valley. It’s newly renovated, surrounded by beautiful landscaping and tall trees for a snug and peaceful environment.
We offer a serene meditation space specifically designed to be sensory-friendly. Here, you can experience a calm place to meditate, experience aroma therapy, and integrate into the therapeutic experience.
Continuing Care
For most inpatient clients, IOP is the next step in their wellness journey. After a stay at our residential facility, some clients will move on to partial hospitalization treatment, while others will immediately begin an IOP.
Based on your needs, our counseling team will create a personalized therapy program to ensure your treatment is successful, even after you leave our care. The goal of IOP treatment is to help you re-integrate into normal lives after a stay at our residential facility, while still receiving individualized, holistic, and comprehensive care.
