Outpatient Addiction Treatment
When someone no longer requires full-time supervision during their addiction treatment, they can continue receiving mental health care and counseling for addiction in an intensive outpatient setting.
The Start of Reintegration
Everyone battling addiction has different needs. Many people need medical detox and round-the-clock care. Others may start treatment a little further down the path to sobriety. Whether a person is ready for the next step after residential treatment or has a different journey ahead of them, they can work on their healing through outpatient addiction treatment.
At Sequoia, this happens at one of our two outpatient programs—partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient. These programs allow clients to reintegrate into their usual lives while still attending extensive therapy.
What Outpatient Addiction Treatment Looks Like
Who is a good candidate for outpatient addiction care? That depends on what you’re battling and your history. It’s for those that don’t need medical detox and those that are ready for more independence.
Structured, Complete Care
Outpatient addiction treatment still involves individualized holistic therapy. Clients will still attend several hours of counseling most days to ensure a complete recovery.
The Same Programming as Residential Treatment
The kinds of therapy that work at the inpatient level are also effective at the outpatient level. We utilize the same programming for all of our clients, individualized to their needs and goals.
Continuing Treatment
Outpatient addiction treatment encourages addiction clients to take steps for healing, even after they leave Sequoia. They can attend evening support groups and work on healthy habits that help them in the long run.
